The Challenge: A new generation of leaders was taking over in this successful family business and they knew they needed to energize their marketing to grow the company. Interested in building a new website, Hazzard's CFO Maggie Reams contacted us to get a quote. Pinch Hit Partners founder Mark Cipolletti quickly identified the need for the development of a marketing plan before a website or any other project should be initiated.
The Solution: Consultant Matt Smith rolled up his sleeves to help Hazzard Electrical put together a marketing plan and budget. He interviewed staff members and customers and researched their industry and competitors before making his final recommendations. Working with the company's outside accountants, Adams, Jenkins and Cheatham, Matt fine-tuned the budget and implementation schedule to develop a realistic and executable marketing roadmap.
The Result: Matt now serves as Hazzard's fractional head of marketing and is leading the implementation of their marketing plan. With no logo or discernible brand identity, Matt's first step was to collaborate with RedOrange Slice to design a logo and to introduce new designs for the company's marketing materials, trucks and office. Matt also worked with MMES, Inc. to create that much-needed new website which is mobile-optimized for on-the-go customers.
